Ρετσίνα ΓεωργιάδηThe history thread of our company begins to unfold in the early 70s. Michalis Georgiades, due to his restless and energetic spirit, decides to take up his father’s Soft Drink Bottling factory and expand it further. As so, he initiates his own company named “Retsina Michalis Georgiades”¨. He envisions and creates the famous little green carafe bottle which soon becomes very popular and begins to gain considerable space in consumers’ preferences across the country.

"In 1990 M. Georgiades launched the first private Wine-Making & Bottling factory in Perea, Thessaloniki."

By the early 2000s, the company expands further in order to cope with its consumers’ ever growing demands. Meanwhile, the private factory of Kato Scholari (Thessaloniki) is being launched, with the ability to accommodate up to 3.000.000 lt of wine and becomes one of the largest wineries in the industry..

However, M. Georgiades’ vision does not stop there. With incomparable passion he is constantly seeking of new ways to enrich the range of the company’s products by adding new wine varieties of high quality from all over the country. He wishes to meet the love and expectations of Greek people for affordable wine of high quality. This combination results to the creation of “Krasostalia” wine in white, red and rosé accents.

Within the context of this ever- expanding market, M. Georgiades along with his two sons, Antonis and Kostas, decided to take a huge step forward. In 2013 the company launches a new, contemporary Winemaking and Bottling Unit of 5000 square meters in Lakkoma of Chalkidiki. The company is being staffed with highly skilled and experienced workforce and equipped with the latest technological inventions. It has the ability to bottle up to 100.000 pieces per day. Tests are being performed on a daily basis, in order to ensure that the final products always meet the international standards and the market’s unique demands.

M.GEORGIADES & Sons SA. continues to rise and expand its export activities in countries such as Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Cyprus, Czech Republic and Switzerland.

“Our commitment is to maintain the fine quality of our products and continue our effort for improvement and innovation. With sincerity and respect to our consumers we will keep offering people what they’ve always loved…….. good Greek wine.”
